Why I switched my bank?

I still question my judgment for choosing Axis ASAP. After numerous failed attempts, I finally created my account.

While ASAP seemed promising, it lacked the basic fundamental that every bank is supposed to have and that is transparency.

While they give a complimentary virtual debit card, you need to go to an Axis bank branch near you to apply for a physical debit card. Since I wasn’t keen on getting a physical debit card, I didn’t apply for it but it got delivered to me anyway. I then got an intimation of a deduction of Rs.354 from my account in the name of issuance fee and was asked to pay Rs.590 yearly for the maintenance of the card. These expenses were not made clear to me at the time of account creation.

When I contacted the customer service, they were not at all helpful and very dismissive.

I really don’t think I would be recommending this bank to anyone.
