In this article, we will see how to activate net banking in different banks so that you can perform banking transactions online from the comfort of your house.
Debit card credentials are necessary to activate internet banking in your SBI account. SBI customers with an individual account can register for internet banking online. Joint account holders have to visit a bank branch to enrol for net banking facilities.
Step 1: Visit the OnlineSBI home page and click on the Login button under the Personal banking section.
Step 2: Click on “Continue to Login”
Step 3: You will see a text staying “New user? Register here”. Click on it.
Step 4: If SBI bank branch has provided with the Internet Banking Preprinted Kit, you don’t have to register online and you can use the credentials printed in your kit to login to internet banking.
Step 5: Click OK.
Step 6: In this step, you will have to enter your details such as your account number, CIF number, branch code, your country, registered mobile number and select the internet banking facility that you require i.e. Full or Limited Transaction Rights or View Rights. Enter the Captcha code and hit Submit.
Step 7: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and enter the OTP in the space provided. Click on ‘Confirm’.
You can use your debit card cum ATM card to complete the internet banking registration process.
Step 8: Select the ATM Card option and click Submit.
You will be given a temporary username. Keep a note of the same.
Step 9: Create a login password and re-enter the password to confirm.
Step 10: Click on ‘Submit’.
Your net banking with SBI is now registered. Use your temporary username and password to log in and set a username of your choice.
Kotak Netbanking can be activated through three options: online, customer call centre and by submitting a physical form to the nearest bank branch or by ordinary post.
Online:
If you are a Kotak customer, you can register for internet banking by clicking on this link. You need to add your customer relationship number(CRN). This facility is available for individual customers.
Customer call centre:
You can also request for Kotak netbanking by calling the Customer Contact Centre 1860 266 2666 (24×7) or +91 22 6600 6022.
Submitting a physical request form:
A physical request form is also available for customers to activate Kotak net banking. Download and fill the Channel Access Request form available for customers, limited companies, associations, trusts, partnerships, sole proprietorships & HUFs. If you are an HDFC bank customer, you have four options to register for net banking. Online, PhoneBanking, HDFC ATM and bank branch are the four options that are available to bank customers.
Step 1: Click here to go to HDFC NetBanking registration page.
Step 2: Enter your customer ID and confirm your registered mobile number to receive the OTP.
Step 3: Enter the OTP.
Step 4: Enter your debit card details.
Step 5: Set your IPIN of your choice.
Now you can log in to HDFC NetBanking using your customer ID and new IPIN.
Step 1: Dial the HDFC Bank PhoneBanking number of your city
Step 2: Provide your Customer ID and Telephone Identification Number (TIN) or Debit Card and PIN
Step 3: An IPIN will be couriered to the registered address within 5 days after which you can activate your HDFC netbanking.

Step 2: Select ‘Other Option’ from the main screen.
Step 3: Select ‘NetBanking Registration’ and tap confirm.
Step 4: An IPIN will be couriered to your registered address.

If you are an ICICI bank customer, you will find your internet banking user id and password in the Welcome Kit that was provided to you at the time of account opening.
