Now book your Ola with Kotak Bank App

Do you use cabs regularly to reach your office or your meeting venues? If not, regularly, then you are most likely to keep the app on your phone for emergencies.

These cab-hailing apps give you the advantage of booking a cab at any hour of the day. Plus, you don’t have to bargain and plead the cab driver to take you to your destination place. While using these apps is easy, paying for the ride is a different scene altogether.

You may have to link it with a payment mechanism whether it is Ola Money or Paytm. And, if you are using a wallet, then you have to first fund the wallet to book your ride. After all, no one wants to pay cash for these rides.  

Now, bid goodbye to wallet funding or linking your ride-hailing app with a wallet. Kotak Bank has teamed up with Ola and you can directly book your ride from the Kotak Mahindra Bank App. The facility is available through the Kaymall Section of the app. With this addition, the bank has added one more feature to their suite of travel bookings.  Bank customers could book flights, trains, buses and hotel bookings from the bank app.    

Booking a cab with Kotak app is easier as you don’t have to pay additional charges and special services will also be available.

Currently, the feature is available only for Android phones. The ios version will be launched soon.

Here are the steps that you need to follow to book an OLA cab through Kotak Bank app:

1.      Open your bank app after keying in your log in details.

2.      Enable your location, if the location is not enabled.

3.      Select the pickup and drop location just like you do in the Ola app.   

4.      You may be prompted to enter your mobile number after which you will receive an OTP.

5.      Enter the OTP.

6.      If you have multiple account bank accounts, select the bank account from the “Select Payment” option.

7.      Click Ok and your cab will be booked.

If you like the ease but you don’t have a Kotak bank account, you don’t have to worry. You can create a Kotak 811 account in less than five minutes. All you need is your Aadhaar card and PAN card. Please note that your phone number should be linked to your Aadhaar number as you will receive the one time password through which you can open the bank account.

Kotak 811 is a zero balance account. That means there is no minimum average balance that you should park in your savings account.
